All Daily Logs answer these questions: What topics did we cover? What did you work on? What happened? Why did it happen? Did you have any problems? How should you do differently next time? What work do you need to perform next? What problems do you foresee coming soon?

Today, we finished up our class introduction by finishing our class intro interactive presentation, going over the Capstone project outline, and setting up our digital portfolio website. For the interactive presentation, we went over how to take our daily logs, how they should be formatted, and where they should be posted. As for the Capstone project outline, we went over all the major due dates and the expectations for the project. Lastly, we set up our digital portfolio website. Using our existing STEM Marin website we created back during freshman year, we created a sub page under "senior year" labeled, "STEM Senior Engineering". Under that page, we created more sub-pages for the new activities, and activities that we have been working on already, such as "Our Passions and Interests," "Looking at an Object like an Extraterrestrial," and our "Daily Logs." A small problem arose when all this work was thrown at me, causing me to be overwhelmed, but I managed to find the time after class to get everything done. I think I worked very diligently today, so I wouldn't really change much, but I should manage my time after class better though. My next step is to find a simple object laying around my house to dissect, most likely for the next activity that we will do as a class. Again, a small problem that could arise is communication between my classmates, but again, it is not a huge concern at the moment.

Today we went over a class introduction by listening to and participating in an interactive presentation. Some points covered during the presentation included getting to know Mr. Tronconi, getting to know a little about ourselves and our peers, thinking a little about what it means to be an engineer in this class, some advice from our former upperclassmen, a basic course overview, and a grading breakdown. Some issues I had was that I got a little overwhelmed with the presentation, which caused me to almost fall behind, so next time I should try and stay more focused on the most important things and take good notes. The next step for me is to gather my materials, such as the notebook required for our engineering notebook. Some problems I can foresee is trying to find ways to communicate with my classmates when we eventually start moving forward with our project, though it is something that is not too concerning for me at the moment.
